From my blog - The Apostolic Mom

It is 5:30AM on a Wednesday as I type this. The house is quiet and I’ve already showered and dressed for the day, set out breakfast for my littles and all but pressed start on the coffee maker for my husband’s coffee.
My heart is overflowing this morning with gratefulness to God. He has been so good, so faithful and so merciful! When I look back over the course of my life, the ups and the downs, I can see the handprint of the almighty there! Even though in the middle of it, I sometimes could not see or feel him there.
There are times when I truly feel overwhelmed with life. The present the future all come rushing in and I think of how privileged we are to have access to the throne of God!
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
HEBREWS 4:15-16
During these times that our heart feels overwhelmed, we are able to go to Him and lay it all down at His feet. We can do this not because we are worthy of it, or earned it, but because of His compassion and love for us. He desires to have a relationship with us, to love us and to care for us as a loving Father cares for His children.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.”
PSALM 61:2-4
Reaching a place of humility and repentance allows access to the throne room because our trust completely relies on who He is and what He is able and willing to do for us…if we let Him. This leads to a productive prayer meeting with the Creator – Jesus!
How do I know if my prayer meeting has been productive? Answer – You walk away with a overwhelming peace that your God and King will take care of it. It is His now and you have either received or will listen out for instructions on what to do next. Often times, those instructions come directly from His Word – The Bible.
Meet him today – Whether in a prayer room, a prayer closet or a space you have set aside to talk to Him. HE will meet you there and there you will find peace and comfort in His presence!
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
PSALM 16:11
